My Approach
My approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and deep attunement to my clients. I aim to create a space where you can explore what’s causing discomfort, process what feels stuck, and move toward healing. I believe we each have an inherent capacity for healing, we may just need help clearing some barriers. I approach therapy with acceptance, curiosity and humor, because healing can be meaningful without always feeling heavy.
I am trained in EMDR and I am currently working toward full certification. While EMDR is central to my practice, I recognize that no two clients heal in the same way. I don't believe clients need to fit the protocol to benefit from EMDR. I adapt the process to each person's nervous system, pace, and needs, integrating attachment theory, parts work, and mindful self-compassion so that therapy feels safe, effective, and personalized.
My practice also recognizes that healing isn’t just about the individual but also the broader systemic forces we navigate daily. My background in philosophy, along with a commitment to social justice, has influenced my work in bridging the gap between personal healing and the systems within which we exist.
I am committed to creating an inclusive, identity-affirming space where you feel safe to explore and embrace all parts of yourself. I practice from a trauma-informed, non-pathologizing perspective. I am not here to "fix" you but, rather, to work together to understand your experiences and support your unique healing process.
Folx from cross-cultural and Latine backgrounds, individuals with histories of trauma, those struggling with emotional balance and/or “stuck” negative self-beliefs, and those feeling disconnected are especially drawn to my work.
