What’s the difference between EMDR and other forms of therapy?
While my approach includes multiple modalities, EMDR is my primary focus and has significant differences from traditional talk therapies. EMDR is targeted toward specific distressing events and/or attachment wounds and involves a neurological processing. This requires less cognitive processing as it works on how memories are stored in our bodies and neural pathways.
