Hi, I’m Lex.

(she/Her)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#125072) and EMDR trained therapist based out of Los Angeles. I was born and raised in Michigan and spent the majority of my adult life in Chicago, where I earned my Bachelors in Philosophy and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a Los Angeles transplant, I have really been able to grow into myself and my career.

Before transitioning to private practice, I worked in different settings, providing support to children, adolescents, and adults, particularly those involved in the child welfare system. I have worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. I have significant experience working with complex, developmental and relational trauma. I continue to work with adults struggling with complex histories of stress, abuse and neglect across the lifespan. Being of mixed ethnicity, I have come to deeply resonate with clients experiencing difficulties with identity and connection to self, others and the world.

Outside of my role as a therapist, I spend a lot of time relaxing with my dogs, Frank and Cobain, and my cat, Atticus. I love comedy and I exert a moderate amount of energy into keeping my plants alive. I love California and spend as much time outdoors as I can (air quality permitting).
